Kathleen Emily Turneau, 103, lifelong Minot resident, died on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 in a Minot nursing home.

Kathleen was born on November 15, 1912 in Minot to Eugene and Mary Ann (Mullen) Tallman. She was reared and educated in Minot and graduated from Minot High School in 1930 and because her mother died at an early age she assisted in raising her younger brothers.

Kathleen married Raymond O. Turneau on June 23, 1936 in Minot. They made their home in Minot. Ray died on June 5, 1980. Kathleen had continued to reside in Minot most recently at Trinity Homes.

Kathleen was a member of St. Leo's Catholic Church, Minot.

Kathleen is survived by her daughter: Micki Turneau of Charleston, SC; daughter-in-law: Susan Turneau of Minot; grandchildren: Karen (Byron) Gates of Lansford, Kelly (Pamela) Turneau and Kevin (Jocelyn) Turneau all of Minot; great grandchildren: Katie and Jacob Gates and Tyler and Anthony Turneau; granddogs: Annie and Kaylah in Charleston and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Robert and brothers, Harold, Robert, Eugene Jr. and Garth.

Graveside Service: Friday, September 9, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. in Rosehill Memorial Park - Minot.
Booksigning: Wednesday, September 7, 2016 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home - Minot.
A memorial service for Kathy will be held at a later date in Charleston, SC.
Memorials are preferred to the Souris Valley Animal Shelter.
