IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Justin Francis
Walter
June 3, 1955 – March 18, 2019
Justin Francis Walter, 63, Minot, died Monday, March 18, 2019 in his home.
Justin was born June 3, 1955 in Rugby, ND to Antone and Marie (Heffner) Walter. He was raised and educated in the Berwick and Towner areas. As a young adult, Justin moved to Minot.
Justin spent his working life in the restaurant industry. He was a staple of Charlie's Café in downtown Minot for the better part of 30 years working as a host, dishwasher and most importantly a friend to all of its patrons. He also held positions at Sammy's Pizza and the Greenhouse Café during his working years. Justin loved to visit with and get to know people. He took a genuine interest in their lives and was kind to anyone and everyone he met.
Justin enjoyed walking and it served as his primary mode of transportation. While on his walks, he created relationships with business owners up and down Main Street, who welcomed him to warm up when he needed a break from winter.
Justin loved spending time with children, especially his nieces, nephews and cousins. Jig saw puzzles were one of his favorite activities to pass the time. He will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to share in his life.
Justin is survived by his siblings, Ed (Sharon) Walter, Minot, Elaine Bixby, Bismarck, Betty Smith Dubuque, IA, Michael (Cathy) Walter, Towner, Larry Walter, McVille, Valentine 'Wally' Walter, Missoula, MT, Judy (Tom) McMahon, Minot, Linda (Scott) Randolph, Minot and Brinda (James) Bowman, Lynchburg, VA along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and cousins.
