June Vix, 95, Golden, CO formerly of Minot, died Sunday, February 23, 2020 in her home.

June was born on January 9, 1925, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, to Harry and Annie Mae (Wall) Lambert. She spent her youth between Medicine Hat in Alberta and Vancouver, British Columbia. She graduated in 1943 from Alexander High School in Medicine Hat.

June continued her schooling in Minot, ND, at Trinity Hospital School of Nursing and graduated the program as a registered nurse in 1948. She began her employment with Trinity Hospital and worked there until 1949.

June was united in marriage to Lando Vix on December 16, 1949, at First Presbyterian Church in Minot. They made their home in Minot and were blessed with two children Bruce and Barbara. June spent the next years of her life dedicated to her family and the upbringing of her children.

June returned to her employment at Trinity Hospital in 1968, working as a Recovery Room nurse until her retirement in 1985.

After Lando's passing, June moved to Golden Colorado in May 2018 to be closer to her family. She enjoyed frequent visits from her grandsons and great granddaughters. Her outgoing loving personality allowed her to make many new friends as well as be surrounded by a large second family. She was able to travel around Colorado to sightsee and experience many new adventures.

June was a past member of First Presbyterian Church, where she was active in the Women's Association, church circle, and served as a Sunday school teacher. She also maintained memberships to the Trinity Nurses Alumni Association and was a life member of the PTA and Golden Oaks. She was a current member of Vincent United Methodist Church in Minot.

June shared the talents of hands through cooking and knitting. She enjoyed traveling and spending time reading a good book. She will be missed for all the blessings she brought into our lives.

June is survived by her children Bruce (Sara) Vix, Golden, CO, and Barbara Tassler, Champaign, IL; grandchildren Andrew (Katie) Vix and Aaron (Tricia) Vix; great-grandchildren Reese, Riley, and Carly along with a niece Pat Buday, Vancouver, B.C., Canada.

June was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lando, brothers Garth and William Lambert, and sister-in-law Angie Lambert.
