June Demaree Flemmer, 79, Minot, died Friday, September 14, 2018 in a Minot hospital.

June was born on May 19, 1939 in Minot, North Dakota the daughter of Rex and Margaret (Matzdorf) Demaree. She was raised and educated in Minot.

June was united in marriage to Irvin "Butch" Flemmer on October 14, 1974 in Minot. They made their home in Minot, where she was employed by the Minot Daily News in the distribution center, at the Ho Hum Motel in housekeeping and as a nanny for Teri and Bock Eckmann for over 20 years.

Butch died January 3, 1999. June continued to live in Minot.

June was a longtime member of the Congregational United Church of Christ, where she was active with a number of volunteer activities. She was also a member of the Women of Moose Lodge and with an exercise group at the Parker Senior Center. She enjoyed fishing and camping along with spending time with her family and friends.

Her loving family includes: Sons, Randy "Rex" (Deb) Joslin, Colorado Springs, CO and Ross Joslin, Hillsboro, ND; daughter-in-law, Pat Joslin, Colorado Springs, CO; 3 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; brothers, David (April) Demaree, Minot, Jerry Demaree, Minot and Billy (Margaret) Demaree, Mandan; sister-in-law, Marlene Demaree, Minot; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

June was preceded in death by : her parents; husband of 25 years, Butch; son, Rusty; grandson, Jett; sister, Donna & brother, John.

Celebration of Life service : Friday, September 21, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Congregational United Church of Christ, Minot.
Interment: North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.
Visitation: Thursday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
