IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Julie
Landers
October 9, 1968 – June 4, 2021
Julie Landers, 52, Kenmare, died Friday, June 4, 2021 in a Kenmare hospital.
Julie Ann Clark was born on October 9, 1968 in Bismarck, North Dakota to Jim and Bonnie (Halverson) Clark. She was raised and educated in Powers Lake, graduating in 1987. After high school Julie furthered her education by attending CNA classes in Mandan. Once she attained her certification, she returned to Kenmare in 1988 and began her career at the Kenmare Hospital.
While bowling a frame at the Western Lanes Bowling Alley in Kenmare, she met Randy Landers. The couple would later be married on July 21, 1989, in Minot and make their home in Kenmare. From this union two children were born. First came daughter Crystal Ann a precious angel who was stillborn on July 24, 1991, Julie was devastated by this loss and carried the memory of Crystal with her always. Second came the apple of her eye, a son Rocky, born March 23, 1993. Julie's world revolved around him.
She continued to work at the hospital until a back injury forced her to retire. Julie held numerous other positions in the Kenmare community throughout her lifetime. She could be found working at Cindy's Café, working at Mouse River Park Karma C-Store and Mouse River Bar/Restaurant or behind a push mower in one of the properties in town. Julie was employed at Mouse River Park C-Store stand at the time of her death. She truly enjoyed her time at the park and had many friends that were like family to her. Julie was looking forward to scooping ice cream for the kids this summer.
Julie was a huge bingo fan and played every chance she got. She and Randy enjoyed traveling which included trips to Medora whenever they had the opportunity and several trips to Las Vegas where, at one time, they held a timeshare. She made the best macaroni and potato salads and would beam with pride whenever she was asked to make them.
