Obituary

Julie A. DeSaye, 60, Lansford, North Dakota formerly of Minot, died Wednesday, September 3, 2014 in her home.

Julie was born May 31, 1954 in Garrison, North Dakota, the daughter of Richard and Maryesther (Huber) Brey. She moved with her family to Minot at the age of one and was raised and educated there, graduating from Minot High School in 1972.

Julie was united in marriage to Greg DeSaye Sr. on April 26, 1975 in Minot. They made their home in Minot. For many years Julie worked as a daycare provider, where her guidance and respect of the children still inspires them today. Later, she went to work for Choice Hotels, working as a reservation specialist whose friendly attitude and smile over the phone made her one of the top agents until ill health forced her to retire recently.

Julie was an amazing mother, a job she took very serious. She was known to drive the streets of Minot in her Volkswagen bus full of her son's friends, memories that have remained with the men they have become today. She was extremely excited and happy to see her own son become a husband and a father and was over the moon about the recent addition of her grandson, Max to the family.

Julie's hobbies and special interests included reading, arts & crafts, cooking, canning, gardening and a very impressive Santa collection. Later in life, Julie loved fishing and riding motorcycle with her husband, who she loved dearly.
