Judy Durdan , 55, Minot, died Monday, December 16, 2013 in a Minot hospital.

Judy was born on March 16, 1958 in Great Falls, Montana to Sam and Marge (Burckhard) Mears. She was raised in Michigan and graduated from High School there in 1976.

In January 1979, Judy met Thomas Durdan in Powers Lake, ND, while she was enrolled in a work program that helped refinish and paint religious shrines. They were united in marriage later that year in August. Together, they raised seven children, residing in Williston for a time until moving to Minot in 1981.

She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Minot. In addition to providing for her children, Judy enjoyed doing crafts and spending time with family. She will be missed by all who shared in her life.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas Durdan; children, Dominic Durdan, Grand Forks, Anthony Durdan, Minot, Cheryl Grider (Dan), Eden Prairie, Minnesota; Jennifer Hanson, Eden Prarie, MN, Maria, Sarah and Thomas Durdan; two grandchildren, mother, Marge Mears, Great Falls, MT; sisters, Marge, Grace, Peggy and Ann; brother, Sam and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She wass preceded in death by her father, Sam Mears.

Graveside Service: Friday, December 20, 2013 at 2:00pm in Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
