Judy M. Baker, 65, Minot, died Tuesday, June 9, 2015 in a Minot Hospital.
Judy was born April 28, 1950 at Portland, Oregon, the daughter of Ralph and Beulah Mae (Crowder)
Sluyter. She was raised and educated in California and graduated from high school there.
Judy lived in Sandpoint, Idaho and California, where she was employed as a waitress at various restaurants in California.
Judy was united in marriage to Mark Baker on May 21, 2007. They lived at Sandpoint for a few years until Mark took a job in the Bakken Oil patch of North Dakota and Judy followed him to Minot in 2013. Judy was employed at the Minot ReStore as a cashier these past two years, where she was loved by her co-workers and customers.
Judy was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, Minot, where she was active with the children's ministries, served on the worship praise team and sang in the church choir. She loved gardening and had a knack of being able to grow flowers just about anywhere.
Her loving family includes , husband, Mark Baker, Minot; children, Tony Fister, Sandpoint, ID, Kerrie Fister and her fianc, Chris Inlow, Richland, WA; mother, Beulah Mae Merritt , Casa Grande, AZ; sisters, Phyllis Lewis, Casa Grande, AZ, Karen Sluyter, Casa Grande, AZ .
Judy was preceded in death by her father and sister, Arlene Middleton.
Celebration of Life service : Monday, June 15, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in Immanuel Baptist Church, Minot.
Visitation: Sunday from Noon-5:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.
