Judy Breiland, 76, Minot, died peacefully Friday, January 12, 2018, in a Minot hospital with both of her daughters holding her hands with the support of her sons-in-law beside them.
Judy was born November 11, 1941 in Minot, North Dakota to Anthony and Eleanor (Myhre) Herda.
Judy was united in marriage to Eugene Breiland March 31, 1960. They followed their careers in the civil service for the US Government to various Air Force Bases throughout the country and overseas, including Ramstein AFB in Germany. She held various positions and worked for many ranking officers during her professional life. She retired from her duties at Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio on December 31, 2000. They moved to Minot in the early 2000's. Eugene passed away September 11, 2011.
Judy was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Minot. Family was everything to her and as long as they were together, she had everything. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and cherished every moment spent with them. Judy will be missed by all who shared in her life.
Judy is survived by her daughters, Laurie (Dana) Bjertness, Minot, and Loni (Kevin) Martin, Minot; son, Thomas Breiland, St. Louis, MO; mother, Eleanor Graupe, Minot; grandchildren, Levi (Darcy) Bjertness, Minot, Lacie Bjertness, Minot, Jesika Sullivan, Minot, Jadin (Laura) Martin, Minot, and Lindsey Breiland, St. Louis, MO; great-grandchildren, Brinley and Porter Bjertness and Mathew Kraft and Conor Sullivan along with numerous nieces, nephews and her furry Yorkshire Terrier companion, Teki.
Judy was preceded in death by her father, Anthony Herda, husband, Eugene, three sisters and a brother.
Celebration of Judy's Life: 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Bethany Lutheran Church Minot.
Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
Visitation: Tuesday, January 16, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Memorials are preferred to Bethany Lutheran Church of Minot.
