Joyce Ardel Lillegard, 67, Minot, died January 10, 2015 in a Minot Hospital.

Joyce was born September 9, 1947 at Bottineau, North Dakota the daughter of Harold and Alma (Vinje) Lillegard. She was raised in Landa and Lansford before moving to Minot with her family in 1953. Joyce was active in the Special Olympics during her younger years. She was employed briefly at the Minot Vocational Workshop and made her home at the local REM home in 2007 following the death of her mother. She moved into ManorCare in the fall of 2014.

Joyce's hobbies and interests include solving word find puzzles and collecting glass figurines. She also liked to work with Friendship Cards.

She is survived by her brother, Ron (Pat) Lillegard, Webster, WI, sister, Joanne Flecher, Thief River Falls, MN, niece, Denise (Dave) Aberle, Fargo, ND.

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Robert Lillegard.

Graveside service : Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot.

Visitation & Book signing : Monday, April 20, 2015 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.

In lieu of flowers or plants, memorials are preferred to ND Special Olympics, REM or ManorCare Health Services.
