Joshua David Velasquez went home to be with the Lord on his 27th birthday.
He was the son of Regina Quesada Forcier and David Velasquez. He was born in Pittsburg, Ca and attended Pittsburg High School and graduated in 1998, he attended both LMC and DVC and graduated with an Associates degree in 2003, and presently was attending Minot State University. He was a resident of Pittsburg for 24 years until leaving for college in Minot, North Dakota.
He loved his family, friends and the town he came from. He was one that loved life and lived it to the fullest. He had a passion for playing football and watching sports especially the 49ers and Giants. He appreciated family, celebrations and spending time with close friends. We will all remember his beautiful smile, his fabulous sense of humor and his kind gentle heart.
Joshua is survived by his mother Regina Quesada Forcier & step-father Reid Forcier, father David Velasquez, Nicole Tiscareno, brother Dimitri; fiancee' Shannon Beston with child; great-grandmother Angie Gutierrez, grandparents Ruben & Cathy Quesada, Frank & Mary Sterling, Frank & Carmen Velasquez, aunts & uncles: Ruben & Christine Quesada, Loretta Quesada, Frank & Helena Velasquez, Art Velasquez, Mark Velasquez, Mike & Debbie Rodriguez, Lulu Velasquez and many more relatives too numerous to count.
Funeral Service:
Thursday, August 2, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in Zion Lutheran Church, Minot.
Interment:
Oak View Memorial Park Cemetery in Antioch, CA.
Visitation:
Friday, August 1, 2007 from 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. and Thursday prior to the start of the service.
Memorials
are preferred.
A celebration of life for Joshua will be held at Golden Hills Community Church located at 2401 Shady Willow Lane Brentwood , CA , (Phone: 925-516-0653) on Monday, August 6th with a public viewing from 5:00-7:00pm, services begin at 7:00pm. Funeral will be held Tuesday, August 7th at 10:00am at Golden Hills Church with burial immediately following at Oak View Memorial Park Cemetery in Antioch. Reception immediately following burial services at Golden Hills Church.
