Joshua Helm, 10, Minot, died Tuesday, August 16, 2011, in Canada.

Josh was born January 26, 2001, in San Diego to Jeff and Jany (Logan) Helm. He began kindergarten in 2006 at Washington Elementary School in Minot. He would have joined his classmates as a fifth grader this fall.

Josh loved life and lived it to its fullest. God blessed him with many gifts that he shared with all whom shared in his life. He was a talented musician and artist, winning an art contest for one of his many drawings. Humor was often his method of conversation, drawing you in for one of many laughs to come. He was a faithful fan of 'Bonanza' the western TV show. His imagination and creativity were boundless but most important, Josh was a servant of God, often putting others needs before his own. All of these qualities make up our son, grandson, and brotherwe will miss you now, forever and until we meet again.

Josh is survived by his mother, Jany (James Huston) Helm, Minot; siblings, Noah (12), Meah (9), Isaiah (5) and Zarah Helm (3), all of Minot; maternal grandmother, 'nana' Lynda Logan, Minot; maternal grandfather, Stan (Virginia) Logan, McCallister, Oklahoma; father, Jeff Helm, Rainy River, Ontario, Canada; paternal grandmother, Donna Helm, Moosehorn, Canada and best friend and classmate, Brandon Iverson, Minot.

Josh was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Ron Helm, aunt, Kim Roybal and uncle Stan Logan.

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 27, 2011, at First Assembly of God, Minot. Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND.
Visitation: Friday, August 26, 2011, from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Memorials: Memorials are preferred to a memorial fund in Josh's memory at Wells Fargo Bank, Minot.
