John Leroy Merck, 83, passed away at home on April 27, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, dedication, and deep love for his family.

John worked for many years as a skilled bricklayer and later co-owned the Fireplace Shop, where he took great pride in his craftsmanship. He was a member of Saint Cecilia Catholic Church. John was an active volunteer and member of many community and church groups.

John was a man who valued hard work and time well spent. He found quiet satisfaction in tending his yard, garden, and being with his family. He was a skilled Yahtzee player and created many special memories playing with his grandchildren.
