John Owen Ellingson, 59, Minot died on February 2, 2019 in his home of natural causes.

John was born on January 24, 1960 in Minot to Mervin and Pauline (Butts) Ellingson. He was raised and educated in Minot and attained his G.E. D. As a young adult he was employed at various places in Minot. He moved to Visalia, CA in 1994 and was employed as a school custodial engineer. He returned to Minot in 1996 and was employed as a maintenance worker.

In his younger years John enjoyed golfing and spending time in the outdoors.

John is survived by eight brothers and sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law.

A celebration of his life will be held this summer.
