Obituary

John C. Borgman, Jr. , 73, Minot, died Tuesday, June 3, 2014 in a Minot hospital.

John was born January 26, 1941, in Minot, ND to John C. and Anita (Hagen) Borgman. He was raised in Minot.

John entered the US Navy on January 15, 1959, serving his country as a maintenance engineer until his honorable discharge on January 27, 1962.

He was married in 1969 to Linda Schaller in Minneapolis. This union was blessed with three children, Barbara, Susan and Bryan. John was a plumber by trade working for several companies in the Minneapolis area over the years until he returned to Minot in 1997.

He was a member of Vincent United Methodist Church, Minot and the Local 15 Plumbers Union. He enjoyed NASCAR and took great pride in his children and grandchildren. He will be missed by all who shared in his life.

John's loving family includes, his children, Barb (Dan) Horning, Sue (Ted) Berg and Bryan Borgman, all of Minneapolis, MN; grandchildren, Mary and Russell Berg and Tim, Taylor and Caleb Borgman; mother, Anita Borgman, Minot; sister, Pat (Glenn) Filipi, Fargo and two nieces and two nephews.

John was preceded in death by his father, John C. Borgman, Sr. and brother, Richard Borgman.

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 19, 2014, at Vincent United Methodist Church, Minot.
Interment with military honors: Veteran's Section of Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND
Visitation: Wednesday, June 18, 2014, from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home and Thursday, June 19, 2014, one hour prior to the start of the service at the church.
