Joel K. Baldwin, 58, Minot, died Tuesday, March 13, 2012 in his home.

Joel was born March 30, 1953 in Valley City, ND to Orvel and Patricia (Gallagher) Baldwin. He moved with his family to Carrington, ND, where he graduated with the class of 1971. He completed his education at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks.

Joel was united in marriage to Mari Delmore on December 31, 1977. This union was blessed with two children, Matt and Andrew. They have made Minot their home since 1978. Joel worked professionally in service to the Minot community for the past 34 years.

Joel was a man of nature enjoying the peace that came from hunting and fishing. He shared many outdoor memories with friends and family. He was a hard working, good hearted and devoted husband, father, brother and friend who will be missed by all that shared in his life.

His loving family includes his wife of 34 years, Mari, Minot; sons, Matt Baldwin, Minot and Andrew (Julie) Baldwin, Iowa City, IA; sister, Mary (Dave) Welken, Ridgeland, SC and brother, Scott (Betty) Baldwin, Grand Island, NE.

Joel was preceded in death by his parents.

Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 17, 2012 at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, Minot.

Vigil Prayer Service: 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 16, 2012 at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.

There will be no reviewal, however family and friends are invited to sign the memorial register book on Friday, March 16, 2012, from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
