Jessica Leigh Baglien , 34, Velva, died Saturday, June 11, 2016 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, while traveling with family.

Jessica was born July 12, 1981 in Minot, North Dakota the daughter of Sheldon and Carla (Christianson) Baglien. She attended school in Madison, South Dakota before moving with her family to Velva, ND in 1990, where she was raised. She graduated from Velva High School in 2000.

Jessica soon met the love of her life, Larry Johnson. They later got engaged and resided together in Velva with Larry's daughter, Madilyn.

Jessica had a special love for children and especially enjoyed spending time with her niece, nephews and younger cousins. Children gravitated towards her, sensing her kind, gentle soul.

Jessica was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church in Glenburn. She was a confirmed member of Oak Valley Lutheran Church.

Her loving family includes , parents, Sheldon and Carla Baglien, Velva; fiancé, Larry Johnson and his daughter, Madilyn Gefroh Johnson, Velva; sister, Krista (Chad) Olson, Minot; brother, Tyler Baglien, Velva; grandparents, Loren & Carlene Baglien, Minot; Sandra Christianson, Glenburn; niece and nephews: Kyler, Karter, Kenadi, Brenner, Weston & Paxson Olson; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Jessica was preceded in death by her grandfather, Leslie Christianson.

Celebration of Life service : Friday, June 17, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in Oak Valley Lutheran Church, Velva.
Private family burial at a later date.
Visitation: Thursday from 4:00-6:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
