Jerome "Jerry" A. Lee, 65, Minot, died Sunday, April 11, 2010 in a Minot Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Jerry was born March 30, 1945 at Ada, MN, the son of Edwin and Ella (Anderson) Lee. He was raised at Hitterdal, MN and Culbertson, MT and graduated from Culbertson, MT High School in 1963. He furthered his education by attending the ND State School of Science at Wahpeton, Dawson Community College in Glendive, MT, and Webert Data Processing Institute of Fargo. He was once married to Virginia Triskle.
Jerry was united in marriage to Linda (Hartsing) McKinzie on October 12, 1992 at Bullhead City, AZ. For twenty-four years, he was employed by the American National Bank of St. Paul, MN, where he served as manager of the regional bank accounting data processing center in Minot. He had also been employed for two years in Fargo in the data processing center before transferring to Minot in 1968 to assist with the opening of the new center for American National Bank in Minot.
Since 1988, he was self-employed as an independent registered representative for the broker-dealer firm Askar Corp/FFP Investment Advisors in Bloomington, MN.
He was a member of the Vincent United Methodist Church, Minot, Eagles Club, Minot and a former member of the Minot Elks Lodge. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his grandchildren and family.
Jerry is survived by, wife, Linda, children, Grant (Cindy) Lee, Fargo, Kristin (Pete) Kowalczyk, Minot; Step-children, Kathryn Kemmit, Minot and Kristine Histand, Keller, TX; Grandchildren, Samantha Morgan, Nicholas Lee, Ryan Lee, Austin and Tory Kemmit, Mark McKinzie, Christopher Garza and Kalina Histand, pending arrival of a new baby granddaughter; mother-in-law, Wanda Hartsing; sister and brother-in-law, Janice and Bob Gibson, and several nieces and nephews.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Clayton and Leonard and sister, Marcella Erickson.
Private Funeral Service in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot
Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot
Visitation: At the request of the family, there will be no reviewal, however friends may sign a memorial register book on Thursday April 15, from 2:00-7:00pm in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
In lieu of flowers or plants, the family prefers memorial to local food pantries or donor's choice.
