Jennifer Renae (Haugen) Nicholls , 37, of Highlands Ranch, Colorado and formerly of Minot passed away peacefully at home on July 19, 2016.

Jennifer was born on October 2, 1978 in Minot, North Dakota, to Jeffrey Haugen and Denice (Brandt) Haugen. She attended schools in Minot & Bismarck, ND; Henderson NV, and graduated from Chatfield High School in Littleton, Colorado in 1997. Jennifer continued her education at Arapahoe Community College in Littleton CO where she earned a certificate in Travel & Tourism in 1998.

Jennifer married Tyler Nicholls on July 21, 1999 in Bergen Park, Colorado. The couple, along with their sons Nathan and Hayden, resided at Roxborough Village in Littleton.

Jennifer's greatest joys in life were her children and the "Denver Broncos". It was always a sunny and bright day when she could speak of her children's achievements or when the "Broncos" won.

Jennifer is survived by her daughter: Shelby Powell of Shadow Hills, CA; sons: Nathan & Hayden Nicholls of Littleton; parents Jeffrey Haugen, Mesa, AZ; Denice & Paul Downs, Littleton; sisters: Johanna (Nathan) Roten of Belton, MO; Jayme Haugen, Gering, NE and Summer & Sierra Downs of Littleton; step brothers: Joshua and Jeremy Hackney of Denver, CO; grandparents: Donald and Donna Haugen of Minot and Darlene Brandt of Colorado Springs, CO; step-grandmother Betty Brandt of Minot and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Jennifer was preceded in death by her grandfather Myron Brandt and step-mother Laurie Haugen.

Memorial Service: Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in Zion Lutheran Church Minot.
Interment will be in Rosehill Memorial Park Minot.
Visitation: Friday, July 29, 2016 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
