Jeffrey C. Abrahamson , 57, Minot, died Thursday, August 07, 2014 in a Minot hospital.

Jeff was born March 17, 1957, in Minot, North Dakota to Jack Abrahamson and Bonita (Lenton) Olson. He was raised in Minot, Dickinson, Grand Forks and completed his education in Surrey graduating with the class of 1975.

He began his career in construction with R&K Contractors soon after high school working his way up the ladder to ownership and was currently serving as an onsite foreman for the company.

Jeff entered the North Dakota National Guard serving his country honorably until his discharge as a Sergeant in 2002.

Jeff was once united in marriage to Debra Ann (Kircher) Klimpel. This union was blessed with two children, Joseph and Nichole. They resided in Surrey, ND.

Jeffrey was united in marriage to Sherilyn Kauffman on May 6, 1995 at Zion Lutheran Church, Minot. They made their home in Minot and were blessed with a son, Zachery.

Jeff was often found in the outdoors enjoying a fishing trip or hunting the next big buck. He was a NASCAR fan and in t he past couple of years developed a love of riding his Harley on the open road with Sherilyn. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Minot.

Jeff may have been the 'boss man' while he was on location at work, but at the center of that tough exterior is a gooey center. He will be missed for all his qualities as a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, trusted son and brother and simply a friend.

Jeff's loving family includes his wife, Sherilyn, Minot, children, Joseph Abrahamson, Surrey, ND, Nichole Petras, Minot, ND and Zachery Abrahamson, at home in Minot, ND; grandchildren, Reed Abrahamson, Gage Petras and Cody Petras; mother, Bonita Olson, McVille, ND; sisters, Jackie (Steven ) Donohue, Pekin, ND, Jodi (Dale) Myers, Minot, ND, Brandi Evans, Des Moines, IA, Darlene Reinhart, McVille, ND and Deanna (Rick) Ward, Scoby, MT; brothers, Gus Abrahamson, Gillette, WY, J.R. Abrahamson, Gillette, WY, David (Sally)Olson, Bentonville, Arkansas; uncles, Gary (Gloria) Lenton and Rex (Linda) Lenton, both of Norwich; Stepmother, Terri Abrahamson, Gillette, WY; sisters-in-law, Karilyn (Kevin) Kilmer, Goshen, IN and Marilyn (Sean) Kelly, Kalispell, MT; brothers-in-law, Orlin (Debbie) Kauffman, Minot and Marlin (Kari) Kauffman, Kalispell, MT along with numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Jack Abrahamson; Step-Father, Frank Olson; Grandparents; Evelyn (Olson) and Durward Lenton.

Funeral Service: Monday, August 11, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in Zion Lutheran Church, Minot.
Interment: Norwich Lutheran Church Cemetery, Norwich.
Visitation: Sunday, August 10, 2014 from noon until 5:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Family Prayer Service: Sunday, August 10, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
