Leona "Janie" Frazier , 74, Minot formerly of Cheyenne, WY joined our heavenly father on Saturday, June 2, 2012, in a Rochester, Minnesota hospital following a brief illness.
Janie was born on August 24, 1937 to Jacob Wolf and Barbara (Burgard) Wolf in Devil's Lake North Dakota. She grew up in Esmond where she graduated from high school. She attended college in Minnesota and practiced cosmetology. She married and divorced Arthur Duane Lincoln; they shared 4 children. She later married James Frazier and they share a daughter. Due to her second husband's employment as an electrical engineer for the U.S. Department of Defense, she lived in many different places throughout the U.S. Following her second husband's death, she returned to her home state of North Dakota and resided in Minot until her passing.
She enjoyed helping others, traveling extensively, and spending time with family and friends. Her family delighted in the large gatherings and excellent meals she planned and shared with us at her home. She was an avid gardener and knitter and was gifted in interior design.
Her generous and gregarious presence will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched.
She is survived by her five children: Mikel Lincoln (Laura), Mark Lincoln (Diane), Stacy Casper (Kevin), Jennifer Lincoln and Jamie Frazier (Robert Olson); her stepchildren: James Frazier (Jenalee), Scott Frazier (Gail), Larry Frazier (Cindy), and Tony Frazier (Allison); her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and her sister and best friend, Kathy Wickman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, second husband, sister Irene Schaan and brother James Wolf.
Memorial Service: 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 8, 2012 at the Thomas Family Funeral Home in Minot, North Dakota.
There will be no reviewal, however family and friends are invited to sign the memorial register book on Thursday from 2:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Interment will be held at a later date in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
Following the service, friends and family are invited to attend an open house to celebrate Janie's life.
In lieu of gifts memorials may be made to a charity of donor's choice.
