Janice Elizabeth Schroeder, 74, Lansford, formerly of Bottineau, died Tuesday, December 27, 2016 in a Minot nursing home.

Janice Elizabeth Schroeder was born on May 19, 1942 in Trenton, NJ, the first of 4 children, to William and Emma (Manser) Conine. The family lived in Allentown, NJ in a converted Mill originally built by an ancestor in 1706. She was raised and educated in Allentown, graduating from Upper Freehold Township High School in 1961.

While vacationing in Miami, FL, Janice met Ronald Schroeder, who was stationed at Homestead Air Force Base. They were united in marriage on June 22, 1963 in Miami, FL. Four children were the result of their union. Due to Ronald's service in the U.S. Air Force, the family lived various places until making their home in Lansford, ND in 1980.

Janice was a 25-year member of Eastern Star, joining the Lansford chapter in 1981. After the Lansford chapter closed, she transferred her membership to the Mohall Naomi Chapter #55. She served as Worthy Matron of the Lansford chapter along with holding other offices in both chapters. She enjoyed Crocheting and Cross Stitch.

Janice's loving family includes her husband, Ronald Schroeder, Lansford; children: Carol Schroeder, Lansford, Kevin Schroeder, Minot and Ronald Schroeder, Jr., Mt. Vernon, NH; siblings: Linda (Gary) Huttenlock, Harrisburg, PA and Nancy Conine, Trenton, NJ; grandchildren: Ryan and Erika Schroeder.

Janice was preceded in death by her son, Randy Schroeder and brother, Mark Conine.

Funeral Service : Friday, February 24, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in Trinity United Church, Lansford.
Visitation: One hour prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers and plants, memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society.
