James Kent "Jim" Selberg, 54, Great Falls, MT and formerly of Minot died on May 3, 2011 in a Great Falls hospital from a brain hemorrhage.
Jim was born on July 1, 1956 in Minot to Russell and Joy (Otterness) Selberg. He was reared in Minot and graduated from Minot High School in 1974. He continued his education at the North Dakota State School of Science - Wahpeton where he received specialized training in electronics and an Associate Degree in 1976. He was employed for 28 years as an systems electrician for the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad in Colorado, Nebraska, North Dakota and Montana.
Jim was a member of the Great Falls Eagles Aerie and he especially enjoyed fishing, target shooting, reading and canning.
Jim is survived by his mother: Joy Selberg of Minot; brother: Jeff (Brenda) Selberg of Faribault, MN; niece: Amanda (Jesse) Armbruster and great-niece: McKayla Armbruster.
Jim was preceded in death by his father and siblings: Barry Selberg and Shelley Selberg.
Memorial Service:
Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in First Presbyterian Church Chapel Minot.
Booksigning:
Tuesday, June 14, 2011 from noon until 5:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home Minot.
Memorials
