James Oliver, 53, Minot, formerly of Oklahoma City, OK, died Sunday, September 4, 2016 in his home.
James Paul Oliver was born on October 3, 1962 in Stillwater, OK to Henry and Paula (Kinnamon) Oliver. He was reared and educated in Perkins, OK and Stillwater.
After finishing his education James worked many jobs and eventually landed in the construction industry as a building contractor. James' work took him many places in the U.S. which he loved. He never met a stranger and was always eager to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed telling stories about all of the places he had worked and lived. On April 18, 2013 James married the love of his life Sarah Oden in Oklahoma City.
James spent many years in the Oklahoma City area and also lived in North Dakota where he spent time playing and giving life lessons to his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Sarah of Minot; children: Chace (Kami) Alford of Parshall, Levi (Ashlie) Shrader of Minot, Dokoda Lipke of Stillwater and Preston (Elizabeth) Clark of Yale, OK; grandchildren: Peyton, Kevin and Kian Alford and Casyn and Carlie Shrader; honorary daughters: Shannon Tipton, Kristin Johnson and Shayla Higgins; beloved aunts, Lela Oliver, Juanita Oliver Evans and a dear cousin, Luellen Oliver Peterman and many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
James was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Glen Oliver, Lorinda Oliver and Dean Oliver.
Celebration of the Life of James Oliver : Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Carney First Assembly of God, 206 East Maple, Carney, Oklahoma.
