James Bradley "Jim Bradley" Selk, 56, longtime Minot radio DJ, died on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 in a Minot hospital.
Jim was born on January 12, 1962 in Minot to Maurice and Gloria (Olson) Selk. He was reared in Minot and graduated from Minot High School in 1980. He was a member of the ND High School State Championship basketball team in 1980 and was known by the nickname "Cruiser" in his younger years. He attended a radio broadcast school in Denver and was employed at radio stations in Oklahoma, Williston and Rugby.
Jim married Rhonda Holden on May 31, 1997. They made their home in Minot and Surrey where Jim was employed as a DJ at various radio stations and was known to his listeners as Jim Bradley. His favorite "lines" were "get er done" and "Remember, wherever you go you're always there".
Jim especially enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, golfing, stargazing with his mom and fast pitch softball. As a spectator, he had attended three World Fastpitch Softball Tournaments. Also, he was an avid Vikings, Twins, NASCAR and PGA Golf fan.
Jim's loving family includes his wife of 20 years Rhonda; siblings: Rick (Donna) Selk of Minot and Laurie (Dan) Swartz of Gilbert, AZ; nephews and nieces: Ryan, Rory, Rody, Jacinta and Derek and several great nieces and great nephews.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother and "best friend" his yellow lab "Mac".
There will be a memorial book signing on April 11 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Celebration of Jim's Life: April 28, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the ballroom of Seven's Event Center, 2315 North Broadway, Minot.
