Obituary

Jacob Paul Feigitsch , 74, Surrey, died Wednesday, January 20, 2016 in a Minot hospital.

Jacob was born March 6, 1941 to Jacob and Elizabeth (Berger) Feigitsch in Richardton, ND. He was raised and educated in Hebron, ND.

Jacob was united in marriage to Marlene Hoffmeyer on June 17, 1962 in Hebron, where they made their home and he worked at the brick making factory. They moved to Minot in 1965, where he worked at Plege's Truck Stop for a time until joining Fisher Motors as a mechanic. Following twelve years of service with Fisher's, he gained employment with JC Penney Automotive. They moved to Surrey in 1971, where he spent the latter part of his career working until his health forced him to retire in 1989.

Jacob was a member of St. Leo's Catholic Church and the Eagles Club, both in Minot. He especially enjoyed dancing, softball, playing cards and drinking coffee with his buddies. You could often find him tinkering on vehicles, especially his cherished 1970 Impala, 1987 Buick and 1959 Ford Fairlane.

Jacob's loving family includes his wife of 53 years, Marlene, Surrey; children: Terry (Teri) Feigitsch, Surrey, Vicki (Greg) Heilman, Mapleton, ND, Shanon Feigitsch, Bismarck, Shelly Lee, Surrey; grandchildren: Brenden and Breyden Lee, T. J. and Brianna Heilman, Dustin Voeller, and Michael and Katie Feigitsch; great-granddaughter, Aleia Ferderer; sisters: Betty (Marvin) Tweet, Glendive, MT, Rita Stoner, Grand Forks and Mary (Ron) Kahm, Glendive, MT; brothers: Paul Feigitsch, Aurora, CO, Frank Feigitsch, Mandan and Giles (Fran) Feigitsch, Bismarck and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jacob was preceded in death by his parents.

Liturgy of the Word : Monday, January 25, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in St. Leo's Catholic Church, Minot.
Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
Visitation: Sunday, January 24, 2016 from noon until 4:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
