Inga Marie Erickson, 87, rural Maxbass, died Sunday, December 29, 2013 in a Minot Nursing Care Center.
Inga was born August 30, 1926 at Bottineau, North Dakota the daughter of Arthur and Olga (Score) Larson. She was raised on the family farm in Starbuck Township of Bottineau County. She attended grade school at the Starbuck Township School and graduated from Bottineau High School. She received her teaching degree from Minot State Teachers College and taught at rural Bottineau schools for several years.
Inga was united in marriage to Jerroll Erickson on June 21, 1953 at the Mouse River Lutheran Church, rural Landa. They made their home on a ranch and farm in Chatfield Township, near Maxbass throughout the years. She was a former member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, rural Eckman, where she taught Sunday School and held various positions, until it closed in the 1960's. She and Jerroll were currently members of Trinity Lutheran Church, Glenburn.
Inga was also active with a local Homemakers group and taught Farmers Union classes. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, reading, watching birds and collecting dishes, saucers and cups.
She enjoyed fishing and traveling around the United States and Canada.
Her loving family includes , husband of 60 years, Jerroll, rural Maxbass, ND, sons: Joel Erickson, rural Maxbass, Karlyle (Kathleen) Erickson, rural Rugby, ND; granddaughters, Martha (Andy Gunderson) Erickson and Amy (Matthew) Schlepp; great-grandchildren, Morgan Soine, Andrew Soine and Eli Schlepp; brother, Arnold (Jordiene) Larson, Landa, ND; several nieces and nephews.
Inga was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, sister, Pearl and a brother.

aturday, January 4, 2014 at 2:00 pm in Trinity Lutheran Church, Glenburn.
Interment:
Our Savior's Lutheran Cemetery, rural Eckman, later in the spring of 2014.
Visitation:
Friday from 2:00-7:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
The graveside service for Inga Erickson , 87, rural Maxbass, will be Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at 3:00 p.m. in the Our Savior Lutheran Cemetery, Rural Eckman. She died December 29, 2013.
