Howard Clark Arneson, 80, Antler died on Saturday, January 16, 2016 in a Minot hospital.

Howard was born on July 17, 1935 in Mohall, ND to Thomas and Lillian (Forschen) Arneson. He was reared on a farm in Wheaton Township of Bottineau County between Mohall and Antler and attended rural school in that area.

Howard married Myra Smith on October 31, 1955 in Mohall, ND. They made their home in Antler and Montana prior to settling in Antler where Howard was employed as a heavy equipment operator and road maintainer for Bottineau County for many years. He retired in the early 2000's.

Myra died on July 2, 2015.

Howard enjoyed welding, building things out of iron and restoring old farm equipment.

Howard is survived by his children: Tom (Kim) Arneson of Westhope, Leann (Al) Gregerosh of Erickson, Manitoba, Canada, Cherie Arneson of Church Bridge, Manitoba, Canada, Twyla Arneson of Antler, Katelyn Arneson of Vermilion, Alberta and Terry Arneson of Minot; daughter-in-law: Audrey Arneson of Minot; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings: Delno Arneson of Antler, Shirley Kissner of Washington, Robert Arneson of Aberdeen, South Dakota and Kathleen Kutzer of South Dakota and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Howard was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son, Tony and siblings: Shervin, Frank, Maylan, Donald, Annabelle and Kathleen.

Celebration of the Life of Howard Arneson will be held at a later date.
Interment: Antler Community Cemetery.
