Obituary

Hilda Crilly, 99, Minot, North Dakota passed away May 10, 2019 at Edgewood Vista Assisted Living, Minot, North Dakota.

Hilda was born on August 30, 1919 near Kief, North Dakota to Fred and Katie (Kluck) Spear. She attended country school near Kief. Following her education, she worked as a waitress at the Empress Hotel in Drake, ND where she met a railroader, her future husband, Y.C. "Bud" Crilly.

Bud and Hilda were married on February 29,1939. Their marriage lasted until Bud's death on April 5, 1997. They made their home in Wheelock, ND until they moved to Minot, ND in 1947 where Bud was employed by the Great Northern Railroad at Gavin Yard .

As a 12-year old child, Hilda accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at a revival in Rosenfeld Baptist Church near Drake, ND. Her life was forever changed. Hilda was a long-time member of First Baptist Church- Minot where she served in many ministries, most important of which was her ministry to children. She loved children and wanted them to know Jesus.

Hilda is survived by her five children, Lowell P. (Kate) Crilly, Green Valley AZ; Michael Y. (Bonnie) Crilly, Billings, MT; Kathleen A. (James) Wellendorf, Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Colleen A. (Alan) Stephenson, Cadillac, Michigan; Timothy N. (Debbie) Crilly, Branson, Missouri;  Sister, Freda Haykel, Minot North Dakota; 10 grandchildren, Minda Shultz; Brendan Crilly; Peter Crilly; Isaac Wellendorf; Alan Stephenson, Jr.; Mark Stephenson; Michael Stephenson; Krista Blumanthal; Amy Pooker; Katie Arends; 12 Great Grand Children, Erin Buckley; Jason Anderson; Andrew Shultz; Menahem Crilly; Adlai Crilly; Vanassa Sabo; Cole Blumanthal; Connor Blumanthal; Chloe Blumanthal; Timothy Arends; Mira Arends; Isabelle Arends; 8 Great- Great Grandchildren, Sophia Buckley; DJ Anderson; Charlotte Anderson; Bobby Anderson; Selah Anderson; Evalynn Sabo; Bristol Sabo; Quinn Sabo; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Hilda was preceded in death by her Parents; Loving Husband, Bud; Brothers: Fred, Jr. and Emil and Daughter in Law: Carol Crilly.

Homegoing Service for Hilda will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Minot.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens - Minot.
Visitation: Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church - Minot.
Memorials are preferred to the Child Evangelism Fellowship, First Baptist Church, or a charity of your choice.

The family would like to thank the Staff at Edgewood Vista for loving and caring for our Loving and Lovely Hilda the past few years. Their care meant so very much to us.

We would like to also thank the medical staff at Trinity Hospital for their kindness and excellent care during this difficult time.

Homegoing Service for Hilda will be held on Wedneday, May 15, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Minot.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens - Minot.
Visitation: Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church - Minot.
