Helen L. Ronde, 83, Minot, died Sunday, July 20, 2014 in a Minot Hospital surrounded by her family.

Helen was born March 14, 1931 at Hatton, North Dakota, the daughter of Harold and Lottie (Strand) Brinkman. She was raised and educated in Hatton, North Dakota. Helen was united in marriage to Morris Mason Ronde on March 23, 1951 at Hatton.

They made their home at Hope, ND for nine years, where together they farmed and raised their children. They left the farm in 1963 and moved to the St Paul, MN area, where Morris received training to operate a Holiday Gas Station there. They moved with the company to Fargo a short time later and then to Minot in 1965 to operate the local Holiday Station.

Helen became employed at Dakota Drug, where she performed a multitude of daily tasks for the company for more than 29 years, retiring in 1995. She and Morris wintered in Arizona over the next twelve years.

Helen was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Minot. She loved to garden, especially tending to her flowers. She enjoyed baking and loved to make her home made chocolate frosting from scratch. She always had a cookie jar filled with peanut butter and sugar cookies for company. Her pride and joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Helen's loving family includes, her husband of sixty-three years, Morris; children, Debbie Turner, Minot, Becky Ronde, Mesa, AZ and Vickie (David) Anfinson, Minot; grandchildren, Shawn Turner, Amanda (Brook) Moore, Trevor (Megan) Ronde, Joshua (Amanda) Anfinson, Sarah Jo (Kent) Weishaar; great-grandchildren, Mason Anfinson, Estella Weishaar, Luc & Kate Weishaar; daughter-in-law, Nancy Ronde, Seattle, WA.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, son, Mark, sisters, Gelena Weinbender, Charlotte Larson, Delores Rose.

Funeral service : Thursday, July 24, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in First Presbyterian Church, Minot.
Visitation: Wednesday from 3:00-6:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Memorials are preferred to an organization of the donor's choice.
