Helen L. Anderson , 85, 600 S. Main St, Minot, died Thursday, September 21, 2006, at a Minot Nursing Home.
Helen was born October 1, 1920, at Blue Earth, Minnesota, the daughter of Albert and Myrtle (Hill) Funk. She was raised and educated in Minnesota and moved with her family to Washington, where they worked in the shipyards during World War II.
Helen was united in marriage to Alfred A. Anderson on December 2, 1957, at Tacoma, Washington. They made their home in the Tacoma area, where she and her husband were employed at Ft. Lewis. She worked as the librarian there for several years.
They moved to Ft. Bragg in North Carolina, where she worked as the librarian for approximately 25 years. She retired in the mid 1980's. Alfred died July 11, 1988. She moved to Minot in May of 2004 to live with her nephew, Jim Clifford. She entered ManorCare Health Center in December of 2005.
She is survived by several nieces, Karen Dill and DeeAnn Funk, and nephews, Albert Funk III, and David Funk, all of Iowa.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, husband Alfred, sisters: Vera, Betty, and Ruth, and brother, Albert Jr.
