Helen Josephine Klatt, 90, Rugby and formerly of Mohall, died Saturday, February 28, 2015 in a Rugby nursing home.

Helen was born on July 23, 1924 in Clarinda, Iowa to Robert and Josephine (Book) Wright. Shortly after her birth, the family moved to North Dakota and she was reared and educated in Grano. As a young adult, Helen was employed as a housekeeper and assisted a beautician.

Helen married Harry Klatt on March 23, 1949 in Tolley. They made their home on a farm in Hamlet Township of Renville County near Mohall where they raised small grains and cattle and were the proud parents of three children. Harry died on October 18, 1985. Helen remained on the farm until she moved into Mohall in 1992 and she filled her time with crafting, fishing, bingo, crocheting, wood working, reading and watching T.V. especially QVC and western movies. She moved to Rugby in 2008 to be nearer her daughter.

Helen's loving family includes her children: Rosemary Klatt of Rugby and Robert (Teresa) Klatt of Mohall; son-in-law Jerome Swenson; granddaughter: Laurel McClellan; great granddaughters: Lacey and Layaunee; sisters: Bernadine (Hugh) Heily of Minot and Estelle Lundgren of Dickinson and fourteen nieces and nephews.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Eloise Swenson; sister, Cecelia Veikley and brothers, Tharley, Byron and Ronald.

Funeral Service will be private.

Interment: Sunset Memorial Gardens - Minot.

Visitation: Wednesday, March 4, 2015 from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
