Helen Catherine Grosz, 74, Minot and formerly of Rolette died on Monday, June 3, 2013 in a Minot healthcare center.

Helen was born on June 7, 1938 in Rugby, ND to Henry and Marie (Foss) Clark. She was reared and educated in the Rolette/Overly area, graduated from Rolette High School in 1956 and attended Minot State University. As a young adult she was employed at the Red Owl Grocery Store in downtown Minot.

Helen was once married to James Jarmin in February of 1958 in Minot. They made their home in Minot and Great Falls, MT and were the parents of Marc and Mary. She returned to Minot and married Alvin Grosz on February 25, 1966 in Minot. They made their home in Minot and to this union Chris, Candyce and Melanie were born. Helen was a fulltime wife, mother and homemaker prior to beginning employment in the laundry and housekeeping departments of Manorcare Health Services. She retired in 2006 following 27 years of employment there.

Helen was a former member of Valle Lutheran Church in Rolette where she was confirmed. She especially enjoyed reading books and newspapers, baking, spending time with family and friends and volunteering at Roosevelt School. She enjoyed her employment at Manor Care, especially visiting with the residents.

Helen's loving family includes her husband of 47 years Alvin; children: Marc (Cindy) Jarmin of Kindred, Mary O'Clair of Rapid City SD, Chris (Jackie) Grosz, Candyce Grosz and Melanie Grosz (Paul Lock) all of Minot, grandchildren: Josh, Jessie, Jared, Justine, Jaime, Cindy, Holly, David, Jacob, Brittney, Nathan and Samantha; great grandchildren: Rachel and Eden; several cousins and longtime friends Sylvia Domsten of Burlington (67 years) and Caroline Berg of Bottineau (50 years). Also, we would like to thank Bobby and Marilyn Grosz for all their love and support.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins and nephews Jeffy Grosz and Howard and Jimmy Hanson.

This Friday, June 7, 2013 would have been Helen's 75th birthday. Happy Heavenly Birthday Mom!

Celebration of the Life of Helen Grosz: Friday, June 7, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the Thomas Family Funeral Home Chapel - Minot.
Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park Minot.
Visitation: Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home Minot.
Fellowship: Friday at 3:30 p.m. at the V.F.W. Clubroom.
Memorials are preferred.
