Obituary

Harold Weinreich, 89, Minot, and formerly of Burlington, died Tuesday, December 28, 2010 in his home.

Harold was born September 18, 1921 to William and Pauline (Ziegenhagen) Weinreich in rural Minot. He was raised and educated in the Minot and Burlington area, attending rural schools in McKinley and St. Mary's townships, graduating from Burlington High School in 1939.

He joined the United States Army serving during World War II. After his honorable discharge, he returned to Minot and attended the Minot Business College. In 1953, he married Martina Klein in St. Leo's Catholic Church, Minot.

For a time, Harold was employed by Truax-Traer Coal Company. Later, he owned and operated Harmon Tompkins Coal Company for many years. He was also employed by Minot Credit Bureau, Feist Cupboards, and Minot Parking Authority retiring in 1988.

Martina passed away in 1996.

He was a member of St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church in Minot.

Harold is survived by: his children; Barbara (Randall) Feist, Elk Grove, CA, Michael Anderson and Kristine Segarra, San Diego, CA, Mark Weinreich, Minot, sisters; Mildred (Robert) Sethen, Minot, Elsie Hodge, Mandan, grandchildren; Bonnie Domsteen, Adam Weinreich, Holly Weinreich, Ryan Feist, Kyle Feist, Steven Weinreich, Jessica Segarra, Amanda Segarra, and 5 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and son David.

Funeral service: Monday, January 3, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church, Minot.
Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
Visitation: Sunday from noon 5:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Recitation of Rosary: Sunday, January 2, 5:30 p.m. in St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church, Minot.
