Grace Leslie , 92, lifelong Minot resident died on Sunday, January 7, 2024 in a Minot nursing home.
Grace Ona Leslie was born on September 8, 1931 in Minot to Lloyd and Anna (Blackstead) Leslie. She was raised in Minot and graduated from Minot High School in 1949. She continued her education at Minot State Teachers College and then graduated from Trinity Hospital's X-Ray Tech program in 1951. She was employed at Trinity Hospital for eighteen years then transferred to Orthopedic Associates for fourteen years. Later, she was employed by the Greenthumb Greenhouse for several years as an elder care services provider and by the City of Minot as a bus driver from 1992 until 2008. Also, she was an insurance adjustor's assistant for Heinrich and Company. She had been residing at Trinity Homes since August 2022.
Grace was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Eagles Aerie, Elks Lodge, American Legion Auxiliary and numerous bowling and softball teams and leagues. She was also a proud member of the North Dakota State Bowling Hall of Fame. She especially enjoyed gardening, golfing, fishing and playing cards, fastpitch softball and bowling.
Grace's loving family includes her brother: Gary Leslie of Minot; niece Jenifer Leslie of Dickinson and nephew: Marc Leslie of Jamestown, ND.
Grace was preceded in death by her parents, brother: Lloyd and sister: Gail Thaxton.
Celebration of the Life of Grace Leslie : Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in Zion Lutheran Church – Minot. To view a livestream of the service access https://www.youtube.com/@ZionMinot/streams
Visitation: Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home – Minot.
Memorials are preferred to Trinity Hospice or to the Zion Lutheran Church Building Fund.
