Gordon LeRoy Neshem, 85, Minot, died Thursday, August 27, 2020 in a Minot Hospital.

Gordon was born in Minot, North Dakota, the son of Benjamin and Olga (Larsgard) Neshem. He was raised and educated in Minot and moved with his family to Spokane, Washington, when his father was transferred with the Great Northern Railroad. He graduated from Rogers High School in 1953, attended Whitmore College, and was employed with the Great Northern Railroad. He enlisted with the U.S. Navy in 1954 and received special training with the Hospital Corps School and was stationed in Japan.

In 1963, he moved to California and worked for Kaiser Permanente Medical Center for twenty-five years in San Francisco and Sacramento. He then worked for the Franchise Tax Board from 1991-2004. Gordon returned to the Minot area in 2013 to be nearer his family. Gordon especially enjoyed traveling and making ornaments and flower arrangements. He attended First Baptist Church, Minot.

His loving family includes: several nieces and nephews including Linda (Dallas) Myers, Sandy (Ken) Lewis, Cathy (Daryl) Wissink, Candy Berenbrok, Cindy (Bob) Bischoff, Mick (Jill) Neshem, and Tom Neshem; along with several grand-nieces and grand-nephews, and great-grand nieces and nephews.

Gordon was preceded in death by his parents, infant brother, Richard, sister Beverly (Herman) Lorenz, and brothers Duane (Marian) and Dale (Carol) Neshem.

Celebration of Life Service: 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 31, 2020 at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
Visitation: Sunday, August 30, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
