Gloriann Roteliuk, 77, rural Sawyer, died Monday, February 8, 2016 in a Minot Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Gloriann was born March 29, 1938 at Minot, North Dakota, the daughter of August and Rosella (Anhorn) Marschall. She was raised on the family farm in Iota Flat Township of Ward County, near Max and was educated at a country school near there. She graduated from Minot High School in 1955.
Gloriann was united in marriage to Richard Roteliuk on October 16, 1955 at Hope Lutheran Church, rural Sawyer. They made their home on a farm in Greeley Township of Ward County, southwest of Sawyer. Along with raising their eight children, she worked as a short order cook at the Ranch House Caf near Sawyer, drove school bus for the Sawyer School District, worked at Hancock Fabrics and babysat for many Sawyer area families. Richard died July 6, 2007.
Gloriann was a longtime member of Hope Lutheran Church, rural Sawyer, where she was active in a number of duties, including Sunday School Superintendent. She volunteered with the Our Lady of Grace Food Pantry, enjoyed sewing, canning, and gardening, and attended many of her grandchildren's activities.
Her loving family includes , children, Roxanne (Dennis) Heizelman, Fargo, Rondel "Rod" (Cody) Roteliuk, Sawyer, Robin (Jac) Thornton, West Fargo, RaeLynn (Steve) Mapes, Minot, Rynelle (John) Altevogt, Edwardsville, KS, Rusten (Lisa) Roteliuk, Minot, Ravona (Dan) Norton, West Fargo and Ronette (Mick) Martin, Bismarck; 16grandchildren to include: Dennis "Rick" (Monique) Heizelman, Daryck (Michelle) Heizelman,Dallas (Faith) Heizelman, Kyler and Mara Roteliuk, Kade (Jennifer) and Zac Thornton, Jessica Jamous, Carissa (Johnny) Angelocci, Dominic Mapes and his fianc, Samantha Grones, Rylan and Renden Roteliuk, McKenna and Hannah Norton, Rhenna and Kaleb Martin; 5 great grandchildren to include, Dyson, Destinee, Drake and Dixon Heizelman and Alex Heizelman; brother, Elloide (JoAnn) Marschall, rural Max; sister, Wynette Halden, rural Max and several nieces and nephews.
Gloriann was preceded in death by her parents and husband of 52 years, Richard along with her brother Vernon Marshall.
Funeral service
: Friday, February 12, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. in Hope Lutheran Church, rural Sawyer.
Interment:
Hope Lutheran Cemetery, rural Sawyer.
Visitation:
Thursday, February 11th from 3:00-6:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Memorials:
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials be designated to the American Cancer Society.
