Glenda Ann Gotvaslee, 70, of Granville, ND passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Trinity Hospital in Minot.

Glenda was born May 15, 1955, to Glenn D. and Myrtle A. (Seideman) Waswick in Minot, ND. In her younger years she lived out by Des Lacs, ND where her dad farmed. In 1960 the family moved to a place east of Granville to farm and ranch. Glenn and Myrtle put a new house on the homestead in 1969. Glenda attended school in Granville.

She moved out to the farm in 2001 and loved living back where her parents raised her. It meant a lot to her to keep the farm in the family.

Glenda was married to Darrel Gotvaslee in 1977 and they lived near Norwich. They raised two boys together, Donavon and Dayton. They also played a big part in raising their grandson, Devon. Besides these wonderful boys they had several other beautiful grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Glenda and her sister, Gail, started a home décor business together in 1989 at the mall in Minot called “Just One Look”. Glenda managed the store while Gail was the silent partner. Glenda had an eye for design and was good at selling. Later in life she worked for I Keating Furniture and then in 2002 she started working for Minot Public Schools as a Tool Room Assistant in the Automotive Dept. She loved that job but had to retire in March due to her health.

Glenda was a strong woman and was raised to work hard. She definitely proved she gave 100% if not more for every task she was given and had a hard time asking for help from anyone. She was one tough lady! Ask the guys that worked with her. She was strong in so many ways. She fought cancer on and off for the past 25 years with the past 2 years being the hardest on her. Even towards the end she never gave up and talked about getting back out on the farm.

Glenda was known for her “Too Much Junk” sales. She had a passion for reselling and knew her antiques. She was always trying to do something for other people and rarely asked for favors in return. Glenda was right at home in the kitchen and enjoyed cooking or baking for her family. She loved her family very much.

Glenda is survived by her longtime companion, Kelvin Wells, Granville, ND; sister, Gail (Dean) Hove, Grand Forks, ND; son, Donavon Gotvaslee (Deann Isakson), Norwich; son, Dayton (Helen) Gotvaslee, Minot, ND; grandchildren, Devon (Marie) Gotvaslee, Minot, ND, JD Gotvaslee, Saskatchewan, Canada, Tucker Gotvaslee, Minot, ND, Dacey Gotvaslee, Potlatch, ID and Hudsynn Isakson/Gotvaslee, Norwich, ND; great-grandchildren, Kaysen Dufner, Minot, ND; Adalynn Gotvaslee, Minot, ND, an aunt, and many nieces and nephews.

Glenda was preceded in death by her father, Glenn D. Waswick; mother, Myrtle A. Waswick; sister, Laura A. Waswick; brother, Gary G. Waswick; along with several aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members.

Our family would like to express our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to all of you who have been so kind and thoughtful at this most difficult time. Your love and friendship now and throughout the years has meant so much to all of us and especially to Glenda. May God bless the memory of Glenda.
