Glen J. Hoffert, 64, Minot, died Wednesday, April 18, 2018.
Glen was born May 3, 1953 in Rugby, ND to Peter J. and Helen E. (Klein) Hoffert. He spent his youth in the communities of Turtle Lake, Drake and Carrington and the state of Oregon. Glen completed his GED and attended college at the Wahpeton State School of Science.
Glen spent his working years as a cook in the Dietary Department of the Harvey Hospital and the Missouri Slope Assisted Living Center in Bismarck, ND. He retired due to a disability and later settled in Minot.
Glen was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Minot. He enjoyed fishing together with his Dad.
Glen is survived by his sister, Charlotte Hanenberg, Minot; brother, Don (Cynthia) Hoffert, Minneapolis, MN; nieces and nephews, Denise (Neil) Austin, Troy (Katrina) Hanenberg, Kellie (Scott) Snyder, Sara Schmeets, Aaron (Bethany) Hoffert and Emily (Richard) Daniels and great nieces and nephews, Trever, Matthew and Alex Austin, Sierra and Hunter Hanenberg, Jacob Reimche, Emma Green and Noah Garcia, Kaden Schmeets, Bennett, Cora and Eva Hoffert and Easton, Adelyn and Brienne Daniels.
Glen was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Cynthia Schmeets.
Mass of Christian Burial: 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 23, 2018, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Minot.
Interment: St. Cecilia Catholic Cemetery, Harvey, ND (Spring 2018).
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the start of the Mass at the church.
Memorials are preferred to the Food Pantry of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot.
