Obituary

Gertrude Mae Moe, 81, Minot died on Thursday, May 23, 2013 in a Minot hospital.

Gertrude was born on November 15, 1931 in Stanley, ND to Willard and Alice (Lindley) Corpron. She was reared and educated in Stanley and graduated from Stanley High School in 1950. As a young adult she was employed at the Rexall Drug Store in Stanley where she was one of the first people to make "whirla whips".

Gertrude married Donald E. Moe, her high school sweetheart, on September 1, 1950 in Stanley, ND. They made their home in Stanley prior to moving to Kenmare in 1958 where she was employed at the Kenmare Clinic. They moved to Minot in 1968 where she was employed by Dr. V.A. Pankratz, a Minot Chiropractor, and Medical Arts Clinic as a receptionist. In 1980, they moved to Mandan, where she was a receptionist for the Heartview Foundation. They returned to Minot in 1990. Donald died on February 16, 1999.

Gertrude was a member of First Lutheran Church - Minot, VFW Auxiliary, Women of the Moose, Trinity Auxiliary and Eagles Auxiliary. She especially enjoyed traveling, playing cards, fishing, camping, socializing and bingo. She also volunteered at Trinity Hospital.

Gertrude's loving family includes her children: Valorie (John) Aftem, Donna (Randy) Mering and Becky (Greg) Odell all of Minot and Randy Moe (Terry Forsberg) of Phoenix; very special friend: Casper "Cap" Haugeberg of Minot; sixteen grandchildren: Doral and Nick Wallace, Jodi Martinez; Jessica Green, Marissa Erickson, Michael Aftem, Farrah Nuzzo, Naomi Turmon and Whitney Booker, Ashley Forsberg and Alexis Lindquist, Cory Landsvik, Amanda Odell, Corey and Chris Steiner and Shannon Boyer; fifteen great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Gertrude was preceded in death by her parents; sister: Agnes Tuvell, brother Robert Corpron and great grandson: Austin Wallace.

Celebration of the Life of Gertrude Moe : Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in First Lutheran Church - Minot.
Interment : Rosehill Memorial Park - Minot.
Public Visitation : Sunday from noon until 5:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home - Minot.
There will be no reviewal at the church prior to the service.
