Gerald G. "Duts" Gefroh, 51, Minot, was called home to the Lord, Thursday, September 11, 2008, in a Rochester, MN hospital.

Gerald was born April 16, 1957, in Maddock, ND, the son of George and Pauline (Wentz) Gefroh. He was raised and educated in Esmond, ND, where he graduated from high school in 1975. He attended college at UND Lake Region in Devils Lake, ND, NDSCS in Wahpeton, and BSC in Bismarck, ND.

Following his schooling he worked various construction jobs in Fargo, ND. He returned to Minot in 1991. Duts attended Minot State University and graduated with a degree in Criminal Justice and a BA/BS in Addiction Studies in 1994. He continued in the construction industry working in various locations in north central North Dakota.

Duts's hobbies included golfing, spending time with friends, fishing, camping, barbecuing and spoiling his only grandson. He enjoyed bingo, NASCAR and billiards, where he was active in many leagues around Minot. Duts was a devoted Green Bay Packers fan wearing the colors proudly at any given occasion. He will be missed by his family and all the dear friends that have shared in his life.

Surviving family includes: Daughter: Jessica (Jesse Wobbema) Gefroh, Minot; Grandson: Jerrel Gefroh, Minot; Sisters: Annette (Jack) Fordyce - Yakima, WA, Anne Zimmerman, Yakima, WA, Dianne (Bob) Olson, Prescott, AZ; Brother: Ed (Faye) Gefroh, Yakima, WA; Sisters-in-law: Joyce and Irene Gefroh; Brother-in-law: Ronald Fuller; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear and special friends.

Duts was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Ella Fuller, brothers, Leo, Roy, Richard, Joseph and Marvin Gefroh, sister-in-law, Judy Gefroh, brother-in-law, Johnny Zimmerman and special friend, Kay Gregor.

Funeral Service: Saturday, September 20, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. at Little Flower Catholic Church, Minot.
Interment: Esmond Community Cemetery, Esmond, ND;
Visitation: There will not be any reviewal, however, family and friends are invited to sign a memorial register book on Friday, September 20, 2008, from noon until 5:00 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Memorials: Memorials are preferred to the Northern Tier Federal Credit Union - 1819 South Broadway - Minot, ND 58701 for the benefit of his grandson, Jerrel Gefroh.
