Gary Weydahl , 69, Minot and longtime Minot area real estate broker, appraiser and businessman died on Monday, March 10, 2014 in a Minot hospital.
Gary was born on October 26, 1944, in Billings, Montana to Earl and Mariann (Johnson) Weydahl. He was reared in Killdeer, ND and graduated from Killdeer High School in 1962. Gary continued his education at the North Dakota State School of Science - Wahpeton, University of North Dakota - Grand Forks and graduated from Minot State University in 1969 with a Bachelor's Degree in Education and Business.
Gary was once married to Milda Weiss. They made their home in Minot and this union was blessed with two children, Eric and Jennifer. Gary was employed for many years as a certified real estate agent, broker and appraiser. He co-owned National Marketing Realtors and was a former director of the Minot Board of Realtors. Also, he previously owned the Starlight Club and co-owned Mr. Steak both in Minot, and G.F. Photo in Grand Forks.
Gary was united in marriage to Kimmary Skaaden on January 11, 1980 in Minot, ND. They made their home in Minot, but spent many weekends at their cabin on Lake Sakakawea. Gary felt enriched by the outdoors enjoying all it had to offer in hunting and fishing, but also gave back to mother nature by planting many trees to replenish the wealth it had provided him over the years.
Gary was a member of the St. Mark's Lutheran Church- Minot. He was an endowed member of the National Rifle Association and a life member of the Minot Rifle and Pistol Club. Gary also served as a past Commander of the Dam Yacht Club of Lake Sakakawea and served as president and vice president of the Garrison Creek Cabin Association. Gary was also a charter member of the Dakota Territory Air Museum of Minot.
Gary's loving family includes his wife, Kimmary Weydahl, Minot; children: Jennifer (Dan) Bright Rauch, Kirkland, WA and Eric (Marjorie) Weydahl, Federal Way, WA; grandson: Jacob Bright and brother, Earl Weydahl (Sam LaPoma) of Yalaha, FL.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents.

Friday, March 14, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Minot.
Graveside Service
: Friday at 3:00 p.m. CDT (2:00 p.m. MDT) in the Killdeer Cemetery, Killdeer, ND
Visitation
: Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. in the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Memorials
: In lieu of plants and flowers, memorials are preferred to Trinity Hospice.
