Gary Klimple , 77, Minot, died Thursday, August 21, 2025 in a Minot hospital.
Gary was born August 27, 1947, in Minot, ND to Awaldt and Helen (Hayes) Klimple. He grew up in Minot and graduated from Minot High School in 1966.
Gary married LaDonna Carlson on June 12, 1977 at Our Redeemer's Church in Minot, where they would make their home. This union was blessed with a daughter, Tammara.
Gary spent his working years in service to others in the Minot and surrounding area at Peterson Excavating, Quality Construction and Poynters Ag Supply. He found his niche as a tree trimmer. He owned and operated Klimple Tree Service for 25 years, until his health forced his retirement in 2022.
Gary was a member of Our Redeemer's Church in Minot. He enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting and fishing or tending to his garden. He was a faithful fan of the Minnesota Twins and Vikings his entire life. Gary will be missed for his sometimes big personality and fun banter he shared with family and friends.
Gary is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, LaDonna, Minot; daughter Tammara (Derek) Anderson, Velva, ND; grandchildren Colton and Coy Anderson; sister Joyce Nielsen, Minot; Brothers and sisters-in-law Randy and Carla Carlson, George and Sherry Carlson, and Tari and Steve Axness, all of Minot, Lynn Carlson, Minneapolis, MN and Kathy Carlson, Rochester, MN along with numerous nieces and nephews.
