Freda Gall, 98, Minot and formerly of rural Sawyer, died on Friday, April 21, 2017 in a Minot hospital.

Freda was born on May 28, 1918 near Sawyer to Fred and Katherine (Steffan) Huber. She was reared and educated near Sawyer. Following her education, Freda was united in marriage on September 1, 1935 to Theodore "Ted" Gall of Tyndall, SD in a double wedding ceremony with her sister Alvina.

They were married in a rural church south of Sawyer. Freda and Ted made their home in Tyndall for eight years. They returned to North Dakota to farm south of Sawyer before moving to Minot in 1953. They resided at 1633 South Main Street for many years.

While she lived in Minot, Freda was employed at John Moses Hospital for twenty-five years before retiring in 1978. Ted died on November 13, 2001. Following his death, she continued to make her home in Minot. Most recently she resided at the "The View".

Freda was a regular attendee of Immanuel Baptist Church and its Shining Lite Circle and a former member of Sawyer Baptist church for many years, where she served as secretary of the ladies' circle. Freda was an avid bowler and bowled in a senior league for many years. She especially enjoyed fishing, camping and was a second grandmother to many children.

Freda's loving family includes numerous nieces and nephews.

Freda was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ted; brothers: Fred, Oscar, John and Jacob; sisters: Dora Sutter, Alvina Gartner, and two infant sisters, Louise and Susan.

Celebration of the Life of Freda Gall: Thursday, April 27, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in Immanuel Baptist Church - Minot.
Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park - Minot.
Visitation: Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home - Minot.
