Fidel Pedroza Viurquez, 73, Minot, died Wednesday, June 2, 2021 in his home.

Fidel was born July 7, 1947 in Mexico to Jesus and Columba (Viurquez) Pedroza. He was raised and educated in Mexico.

In 1972 Fidel moved to Santa Barbara, California. Here he worked as a welder and harvester. It was in Santa Barbara where he met the love of his life Fernada Ontiveros. They were married and together raised a family of six.

Fernanda passed away January 27, 2016. Fidel continued to reside in Santa Barbara until moving to Minot to be nearer to family.

Fidel held many passions in his lifetime his most cherished were gardening, farming, and singing. He was also known for his love of animals especially birds and roosters in particular.

Fidel is survived by his children, Marie Ledesma, Santa Barbara, CA, Luis (Claudia) Ontiveros, Las Vegas, NV, Maribel (Moises) Roseales, Las Vegas, NV, Columba Pedroza, Santa Barbara, CA, Zulema Leticia, Minot, ND and Carlos Pedroza, Minot, ND; 15 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren.
