Fernando Jimenez, 52, Minot and formerly of Oxnard, CA, died on Thursday, December 9, 2010 in a Lakewood, CO hospice center.

Fernando was born October 23, 1958 to Frank and Soccoro (Lara) Jimenez in Oxnard, CA. He was raised and educated in Oxnard, graduating from Oxnard High School in 1977.

He worked in the Oxnard area working on assembly lines for industrial goods until 1990, when he moved to Bakersfield, CA. He lived in Bakersfield until 1996, when he moved to Visalia, CA where he worked for a tire manufacturing plant. In 2004, Fernando moved to Denver, CO where he worked for a shipping plant until he moved to Lansford, ND in 2008. He worked for Gates Manufacturing as an assembler of farm equipment. He was once married to Jacqueline Hernandez.

Fernando was a member of St. Leo's Catholic Church. His hobbies included spending time with his family and friends.

Fernando is survived by his children; Marianna Jimenez, Visalia, CA, Kathleen (Charlie) Steel, Sawyer, ND, Synthia Jimenez, Minot, ND, Abigail Jimenez, Camarillo, CA brothers; Joe Jimenez, Denver, CO, Richard Jimenez, Modesto, CA, Manuel (Gracie) Jimenez, Oxnard, CA. Robert (Erlinda) Jimenez, Los Angeles, CA, Armando (Aurora) Jimenez, Lake Havasu City, AZ, sisters; Soccoto Jimenez, Chicago, IL, Lydia Jimenez, Huntington Beach, CA, Isabelle Jimenez, Oxnard, CA, Yolonda Aposo, Littleton, CO, Elisa (Manual) Castro, Billings, MT, Gabino Jimenez, MS, Rose Jimenez, Lake Havasu City, AZ, and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Frank Jr.

Mass of Christian Burial: Saturday, December 18, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Leo's Catholic Church, Minot.
Family Service: 7:30 p.m. Friday, December 17, 2010 at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Visitation: Friday, December 17, 2010, from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot
Memorials: preferred to St. Leo's Catholic Church, Minot.
