Evelyn Loretta Heller, 99, Fargo, formerly of Minot, died Sunday, October 12, 2008 in a Fargo Nursing Home.

Evelyn was born November 15, 1908 at Sherwood, North Dakota, the daughter of Mark and Mae (Mullen) Beckedahl. She was raised and educated at Sherwood and graduated from Sherwood High School in 1926.

Evelyn was united in marriage to Lloyd R. Heller on December 10, 1928 at Minot. They made their home in Sherwood and Williston, before moving to Minot in 1942, where Lloyd founded Northern Oil Company in 1949 with his partners J.H. Frank and H.H. Fisher. Lloyd died November 21, 1984. Evelyn remained in Minot until 1990, when she moved to Fargo to be nearer her family.

Evelyn was a member of Vincent United Methodist Church, Minot. She enjoyed baking and gardening.

Her loving family includes: Son, Lynn Heller, Fargo, ND; Grandsons: Gary Heller, Los Angeles, CA and Randy (Sara) Heller, Fargo; Great-Grandson: Isaac and Great-Granddaughter: Eva.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother: Morton, sister: Dorothy and daughter-in-law: Tari.

Funeral service: Friday, October 17, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in Vincent United Methodist Church, Minot;
Interment: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot;
Visitation : Thursday from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. in the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot;
