Obituary

Eunice Fay Munch , 84, Minot and formerly of Kenmare died on Sunday, June 2, 2013 in a Minot hospital.

Eunice was born on August 7, 1928 in Wheaton, MN to Elmer and Hazel (Loop) Teske. She was reared and educated in Wheaton, graduated from Tintah High School in 1946 and graduated from New York Hairdressing Academy in Fargo in 1947. As a young adult she moved to Kenmare, ND in 1947 and was employed at the Ann Shop for two years.

Eunice married John "Jack" Munch on August 6, 1949 in Kenmare. They made their home in Kenmare until 1975, where she was a fulltime wife, mother and homemaker. She and Jack moved to rural Kenmare in 1975 and received a soil conservation award in 1982. They moved to Minot in 2007 and resided at The View.

Eunice was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church and its St. Joseph Circle as well as the VFW Auxiliary and Senior Citizens all in Kenmare. She was the Baden Township Clerk for many years and also served as a Farmers' Union Youth Leader in her younger years. Eunice had been attending Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Minot. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, sewing, quilting, cooking, baking and crafts. She especially enjoyed fishing, RVing, and playing games. She was a Master Fisherwoman and 3 time member of the Whopper Club.

Eunice's loving family includes her husband of 63 years John "Jack" Munch; children, Lea Ann (Greg) Ankenbauer, Kenmare, Lyndon (Gloria) Munch, Bowie, TX, Clayton Munch, Minot, ND, Cary (Sandy Angel) Munch, Minot, ND and Denise (Lorne) Clark of Columbia City, OR; grandchildren, Kati (Jon) Zainhofsky, Kasey (Chad) Haugen, Kelly (Brian) Spear, Karyn (John) Halcrow, Travis (Lauren) Munch, Chris (Lisa) Munch, Charity Munch and Nicolas Munch, Matt Munch, Logan Clark and Lauren Clark; great-grandchildren, Morgan, Jayli and Lukas Haugen and Landan, Lincoln and Lleyton Spear, Annie, Ella and and Hazel Munch; daughter-in-law, Valerie Munch, Owasso, OK; sister, Shirley Jensen, Watertown, MN; brother-in-law, Hilary (Marilyn) Barry, Dead Lake, MN, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Eunice was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Warren Peterson and Clayton Teske and sisters: Cheryl Barry and Phyllis Anderson and an infant great-grandson, Liam Haugen.

Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 7, 2013 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot.
Vigil Prayer Service: 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 6, 2013 at Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Graveside Service: 3:00 p.m. Friday, June 7, 2013 at in St. Agnes Catholic Cemetery, Kenmare with fellowship time to follow at the Kenmare Senior Citizen's Center. Schedule subject to change due to cemetery conditions.
Visitation: Thursday, June 6, 2013, from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home - Minot.
