Ethel L. Lehner, 80, Minot, died Friday, December 22, 2006, in a Minot Nursing Home.
Ethel was born April 24, 1926, at Burlington, North Dakota, the daughter of Don and Anna (Moyer) Davy. She was raised and educated at Burlington and graduated from Burlington High School in 1943. She attended Jamestown College for two years and received her teaching certificate there. She taught at country schools for a short time, until she was united in marriage to Paul Lehner on July 28, 1946, at Minot.
Ethel had lived in Naperville, Illinois, while her husband attended seminary and they lived at various places while he served as a minister for the Congregational Churches in those communities. While living in Minot, Ethel was employed at Northwest Music for several years, and taught music and provided private piano and organ lessons throughout the years. She had played the piano and organ at a number of churches in Minot for weddings and funerals. Paul died August 9, 1997.
Ethel enjoyed reading, music and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her loving family includes : Children: David (Patricia) Lehner, Minot, Mark (Julia) Lehner, Milton, MA, Daniel Lehner, Encinitas, CA, Stephen (Maria) Lehner, Nashville, TN and Lois (Michael) Moger, Longmont, CO; Sixteen Grandchildren, Four Great-Grandchildren; Brother, Dorsey Davy, Carmichael, CA
Ethel was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers: Merrel and Joel and sister: JoAnne.
Funeral service
: Sunday, December 31, 2006, at 3:00 p.m. in Vincent United Methodist Church, Minot;
Interment
: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot;
Visitation
: Saturday from Noon - 5:00 p.m. in the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
