Obituary

Ethan Moen, 23, rural Foxholm died on Friday at an area farm from a work-related accident.

Ethan Alan Moen was born on August 16, 1995 in Minot to Jeffrey and Tammi (Blikre) Moen. He was the older brother to Austin and Erica. Ethan was raised in Carpio and on the Moen Family Farm between Foxholm and Carpio. He attended school in Burlington and Des Lacs and graduated from Des Lacs-Burlington High School in 2014. He attended Bismarck State College where he received an Associates Degree in Farm and Ranch Management and specialized training in Automated Machine Systems (AMS).

Following his formal education, he returned to the family farm where he assisted with the operation of the family farm prior to renting some of his own land and purchasing machinery. Farming was his number one passion and he was always very interested in the latest farming technologies.

Ethan was a member of the Carpio Lutheran Church and during his high school years was a member of FFA, Honor Society and played basketball. More recently he especially enjoyed playing pool and hunting, but farming was always on his mind. He was an accomplished and careful truck driver and was known by his friends and family as very straight forward and outspoken.

Ethan's loving family includes his parents, siblings, maternal grandparents: Kent and Sandi Blikre of Williston; aunts and uncles: Brandt Blikre of Fargo, Rebecca Holen (Jon Johnson) of Foxholm, Mike Moen of Dickinson and Steven (Janice) Moen of rural Minot and cousin: Amber Melchert.

Ethan was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: George and Anne Moen.
